WHITESNAKE собрали часть самых страстных песен за свою мульти-“платиновую” карьеру на диске «Love Songs» – второй части трилогии «Red, White and Blues Trilogy», которая состоит из сборников, организованных по стилистическому принципу. Серия началась этим летом с «The Rock Album» (белый) и завершится в следующем году выпуском «The Blues Album» (синий). В новом сборнике перемешаны хиты и не самые известные композиции, изданные в период с 1987 по 2011 года на пяти студийных альбомах WHITESNAKE и третьем сольном альбоме Дэвида Ковердейла (David Coverdale) «Into The Light». «Love Songs» увидит свет 6 ноября на CD , двойном 180-граммовом виниле и в цифровом виде.
Как и в случае с «The Rock Album», все треки были пересведены и ремастированы. «Часть из них доработана в тех местах, где мой спродюсер Майкл МакИнтайр (Michael McIntyre), мой новый инженер сведения Кристофер Коллье (Christopher Collier) и я сочли, что уместно или необходимо вывести на передний план то лучшее, что есть в этих песнях», — объясняет Ковердейл. Сольный период творчества Ковердейла представлен альбомными песнями «Don’t You Cry» и «Midnight Blue», а также тремя ранее не издававшимися ауттейками, записанными в период работы над «Into The Light»: «With All Of My Heart», «Yours For The Asking» и «Let’s Talk It Over». Альбомы «Restless Heart» (1997), «Good To Be Bad» (2008) и «Forevermore» (2011) также не остались без внимания (треки «Too Many Tears», «Summer Rain» и «Easier Said Than Done»).
